WONCA, representing over half a million family physicians and primary care professionals across 113 countries in 7 regions, annually champions the vital role of primary care in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This year’s campaign, “Universal Health Coverage Starts with Primary Care,” emphasizes the subtheme “Expand Primary Health Care.” Serving as the frontline defense against illness, primary health care is a comprehensive, cost-effective, and inclusive solution, ensuring health for all and strengthening communities against health crises.
