Women in Global Health

Join us for a virtual event organized by Women in Global Health, aligning with the 2023 UHC Day theme, “Health for All: Time for Action.” In the wake of the 2023 Political Declaration on UHC, this event aims to refocus on implementing commitments at the country level, with a specific focus on gender-inclusive Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The event will highlight and showcase examples of Civil Society Organizations, particularly Women in Global Health Chapters, effectively advocating for gender-responsive UHC at the country level. Policymakers and health professionals will gather to promote and advocate for the integration of gender perspectives in health policies at both national and community levels.

Through a dynamic webinar, participants will engage in a knowledge exchange, sharing ideas, lessons learned, and practical strategies proven effective in mainstreaming gender considerations into health systems. The objective is to provide insights into effective advocacy strategies and practical examples, fostering the integration of gender perspectives in health policies, particularly at the community and primary healthcare levels.
