December 9, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am UTC-5
9th December, 10:00-11:30 EST
In the lead-up to Universal Health Coverage Day, Pandemic Periods and Girls Health Ed is curating an event that will explore the intersection between UHC and sexual and reproductive health rights, specifically menstrual health. This global discussion will feature diverse voices who are committed to the UHC theme of Build the World We Want: A Healthy Future for All around the world.
The session will address the following objectives:
Objectives
1. Explore the relationship between UHC and SRHR (menstrual health)
2. Highlight some successful policies, research, or advocacy initiatives that are working towards the provision of SRHR in UHC.
3. Identify the gaps that could inform a transformative agenda and a call to action that will advocate for the provision of SRHR in UHC, especially menstrual health for all.
We hope you will help us illuminate the additional challenges experienced by women, girls, transgender men, and non-binary individuals that menstruate this Universal Health Coverage Day. Join us as we engage, enable, and ignite change toward menstrual health mainstreaming, and celebrate grassroots efforts to further the global menstrual health agenda!
