Following the successful launch of the Lancet NCDI Poverty Commission report and NCDI Poverty Network, the Helmsley Charitable Trust will convene an invitation-only roundtable series, Financing NCDI Poverty, to present the Commission’s findings to donors and philanthropic communities and offer a space to share insights and experiences to bridge the gap between NCDI Poverty and Universal Health Coverage. Helmsley, a leading funder of integrated care for type 1 diabetes, hopes to catalyze like-minded funders to work together.

During this 90 min event, participants will engage in interactive discussions, guided by three key questions, that highlight the intersection between NCDIs of poverty, UHC, and other priorities of concern to donor and philanthropic organizations.

The event will also feature introductory remarks from global health leaders who together will examine the NCDI poverty landscape and the opportunities that financing NCDIs can offer.

Speakers include:
– Dr. Gina Agiostratidou, Type 1 Diabetes Program Director, The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust
– Dr. Gene Bukhman, Co-Chair, Lancet NCDI Poverty Commission
– Dr. Ana Mocumbi, Co-Chair, Lancet NCDI Poverty Commission
